Overview

VRTEX’s ‘Smart Meter Reader’ is an android software application that can be used to read energy meter data using a phone or tablet.
It can be used to read from a variety of meters such as Serial, Optical or IR by connecting an appropriate interface connector.
The application downloads the service numbers of meters from a central server, reads the data from meter, and uploads the data back to the central server.
We can then send the bill to the consumer immediately through SMS. The same bill can be printed and handed over to consumer. Also, a copy of the bill is saved in the server.

• If the signal is NOT available at the time of reading, it can be set to upload the data whenever the smart devices is in the vicinity of cell/WIFI signal

• A PDF version of the bill can be stored in the central server
• Easy data aggregation and report generation as the data is available right away
